March 2026
Operational Update
On Feb. 18, Expand Energy reported its 2025 4Q and full year earnings results. To learn more, see our news release and presentation. Also, the company recently announced a change to its headquarters and leadership.
“In 2025, Expand Energy took clear action to meet the world’s need for affordable, reliable, lower carbon energy. In our first year since announcing the merger, we exceeded our synergy targets and improved our Haynesville breakevens by approximately 15%, while achieving double-digit production growth,” said Mike Wichterich, Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Expand Energy. “This year-over-year improvement reflects our scale, financial strength, and capital efficiency. We’re creating more value from every molecule, and we’re in an advantaged position to meet growing demand in the power, industrial and LNG markets. In 2026, we expect to deliver higher volumes with less capital, leverage our productive capacity and flexibility to manage volatility, and consistently grow free cash flow.”

Get to Know Lauren Kennedy, Operations Engineer – Haynesville

Lauren is an Operations Engineer at Expand Energy, where no two days are ever the same — and that’s exactly how she likes it. From supporting field teams and keeping operations running safely to navigating life with a newborn at home, Lauren thrives in roles that require steadiness and a willingness to tackle any challenge.
How would you describe your job to a neighbor?
The best way to describe my job is that no two days are the same. I take on new challenges regularly and help support our field teams so we can deliver energy safely and reliably. A big part of what I do is make sure our operations run smoothly while prioritizing the safety of everyone involved.
What initially drew you to Expand Energy?
Before joining Expand Energy, I spent nearly nine years working for a service provider in the Gulf of Mexico, where my experience was focused on a single technical specialty. I saw Expand Energy as an opportunity to broaden my perspective and skill set and to gain a more comprehensive understanding of operations.
The Haynesville field office is close to where I was born and raised. The chance to work and contribute in the community I grew up in means a lot to me. That combination of professional growth and personal connection is what drew me here — and it’s what keeps me committed to the work we’re doing.
What’s something people might be surprised to learn about your team?
Our team is spread across four different locations. Despite the distance, we stay closely connected and collaborate effectively every day — strong communication and teamwork are essential in operations, and I’m proud of how seamlessly we work together across the miles.
Being part of a distributed team has also reinforced an important lesson for me: ask questions without hesitation, stay open-minded and be willing to adapt. There’s always something new to learn, and the more curious and flexible you are, the more you’ll grow — both individually and as a team.
In the Community
During the past quarter, Expand Energy’s employees have been active members of their communities, supporting charitable initiatives in our operating areas. Highlights include:
- Strengthening Local Emergency Response: Expand Energy proudly supports local first responders. Most recently the company donated to Caddo Fire District #4 to purchase two fully equipped portable air supply systems, enhancing firefighter safety and emergency response capabilities. We also contributed to the Red River Parish Sheriff’s K-9 Unit to provide GPS tracking equipment that strengthens field operations and public safety efforts.
- Investing in Youth, Education and Workforce Development: Our team continued building strong ties with Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) through campus engagement events, advisory board participation and an annual scholarship award. This quarter, Expand Energy hosted a reception honoring the recipients of the Expand Energy Scholarship. Through these efforts, we help prepare the next generation for careers in the energy industry.
- Supporting Local 4-H Programming: In Grand Cane, Expand Energy donated funds to support the construction of a new covered arena at the DeSoto Parish 4-H facility, helping provide a safe, weather-protected space for livestock shows and youth development programs.
- Making a Difference at the Louisiana Rodeo Cowboys Association Special Needs Rodeo: At the Shreveport State Fair, Expand Energy proudly sponsored and volunteered at the Louisiana Rodeo Cowboys Association’s Special Needs Rodeo. The event welcomed students from local schools for a rodeo experience designed specifically for children with special needs. Expand Energy employees helped run activities and support participants, ensuring a safe, inclusive and memorable day for families.
