SW App Hosts Regional EMAs, Donates $120,000 for Public Safety

June 12, 2026

Expand Energy’s SW App team recently welcomed local emergency management agencies (EMAs) to our Wheeling office for a collaborative event focused on safety, preparedness and partnership.

The gathering provided an opportunity for regional first responders and emergency officials to deepen their understanding of the company’s operations while aligning on emergency response practices. Attendees toured a drilling rig location to get a firsthand look at Expand Energy’s operational practices including how we prepare for and respond to incidents in the field.

Also at the event, each organization listed below received $20,000 to help support local emergency response capabilities. These funds were raised during Expand Energy’s 2025 charity clay shoot hosted in partnership with the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley.

  • Brooke County Emergency Management Agency
  • Ohio County Emergency Management Agency
  • Marshall County Emergency Management Agency
  • Wetzel County Emergency Management Agency
  • Monroe County Emergency Management Agency
  • Monroe County Sheriff’s Office

“These agencies are on the front lines of protecting our communities every day,” said Stephanie Paluda, SW App Community Affairs Manager. “We are proud to partner with and support their critical work. By working together and sharing knowledge, we can strengthen emergency preparedness and ensure the safety of our employees, our neighbors, and the region as a whole.”

The event reflects Expand Energy’s ongoing commitment to safety, proactive collaboration and knowledge sharing with local partners. Expand Energy looks forward to continuing its engagement with regional emergency management leaders and supporting the essential services they provide throughout the Ohio Valley.
